Edith Scher holds a degree in Literature. She is an actress, singer, and community arts educator. Since 2002, she has directed the community theatre group Matemurga de Villa Crespo, made up of 80 local residents of all ages. In 2011, she published the book Theatre of Neighbors: From the Community for the Community. She has led community theatre workshops and seminars in Argentina, Latin America, and Europe. As a theatre critic, she has worked in radio and print media for various news outlets. In 2022, she released her first solo album.
