Sylvio Marinho da Pureza Ramires holds a PhD in Sociology from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and works in the field of memory, cultural heritage, and their multiple forms of sociability in the Amazon. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) and coordinator of the Memorial Program and of the study and research group on Culture and Sociability in the Amazon – Épikos. He has experience in ethnosociological studies involving cultural mapping and life narratives.
