Renata Kabilaewatala is a faculty member at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). She holds a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in Arts from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Dance. She is affiliated with the Graduate Programs in Performing Arts and in Arts, Cultures and Technologies at UFG, as well as with the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at the University of Brasília (UnB). She is the artistic director of Núcleo Coletivo 22 and leads the Research and Scenic Investigation Center Coletivo 22 (NuPICC). She is also a member of the Centro de Capoeira Angola Angoleiro Sim Sinhô. Her research focuses on creative processes, cultural performances, and popular and Afro-Amerindian poetics.
