The organizers of the Crossroads in Cultural Studies Conference and the VI RIEC Congress – International Network of Cultural Studies – announce the opening of submissions for the Book Launch Session at the event. This activity will take place exclusively in person during the Congress and aims to promote and give visibility to recent publications in the field of Cultural Studies and related areas.
The Book Launch Session is a specific moment in the program dedicated to the dissemination of recently published works, in which authors or organizers will have the opportunity to present their titles, engage directly with theaudience, and facilitate the sale of the works. The activity seeks to foster direct interaction and exchange between authors and readers within the context of the Congress.
The activity does not include formal presentations or debates about the works, functioning as a meeting space between authors, publishers, and participants of the Congress.
Who can participate?
Authors or organizers of books related to the field of Cultural Studies and related disciplines, published between 2025and July 2026, may participate. Works in any language are accepted.
Works in physical and/or digital (e-book) formats are accepted.
The Organizing Committee will verify whether the submitted works meet the temporal and thematic criteria established in this call for papers.
Submissions of works that engage with the theme of Crossroads 2026 – “Decolonizing Cultural Studies: Leisure, Bodies, Performances, Territories and Universities” are encouraged.
Participation in the Book Launch Session is contingent upon registration for the Congress and payment of the corresponding fee by at least one of the authors or organizers of the work.
